It’s pretty rare that someone tells me flat out that they just don’t want to join RISE.

It would be absolutely fine if that’s what they thought but usually, when they’ve responded to what I’ve been saying (often having read it for weeks, months or years) and have been interested enough to find out more, we are a good fit.

They’ve nearly always tried conventional gyms before and found them some combination of boring, confusing and intimidating.

And they like the sound of more enjoyable exercise with like-minded people in an intimidation-free atmosphere and the other support that helps people get results (you’ll find that at www.myrise.co.uk/apply).

Sometimes they just can’t justify the cost, which I get.

But, in a fairly high proportion of times when people don’t start with us at this point, it’s some version of “Now isn’t the right time”.

And one version of this is that they want to get a bit fitter or lose some weight first.

And I get the thought process.

People are concerned it’s going to be “too hard” for them as they are now.

But joining is what will help them get and lose the weight.

It’s “Goldilocks” – not too easy, not too hard.

That’s the advantage of having a coach in every session – it’s really straightforward to work at that right level.

Planning on getting fitter or losing weight before starting something that will get you fitter and lose you weight………

Is like saying you want to earn more money before getting a pay rise.

Person training at a gym in Macclesfield to earn more money.
