This is a relatively new expression, from my experience.
I’ve it seen on social media a lot over the last few years.
“I was today years old when……..”
Followed by something that person has just learned.
Often something that seems kind of obvious when you know it.
A quick Google has given the following examples;
“I was today years old when I found out that the first episode of a show is called “pilot” because it’s the first time they are on the air!”
“I was today years old when I found out that when someone tells you to “break a leg” in an audition it is because they are hoping you end up in the cast.”
Now, I have a few questions for you;
Have you ever changed your mind about something?
Have you ever come to realise that there was a better way to see something?
Have you ever realised you were just plain wrong?
I’d wager that the answer to all those questions is “Yes”.
It is for me.
So, could it really be that you were “today years old” when you were finally right about everything?
When there were no more insights to be gained?
When there were no more changes to the way you saw things to come?
Surely not.
We’ll end up changing our minds about things in the future.
We’ll end up coming up with better ways to approach life.
We’ll end up realising that we were just wrong at times.
So, could we make those realisations now…….
Rather than waiting till the future?
Could we decide just to change our view for one that we know will serve us better?
If we consider exercise to be boring, time consuming and something we’re “too busy” to do……..
Could we just decide to change our opinion on that now?
If we feel that healthy, eating is restrictive, tasteless, expensive and boring………
Could we just decide to change our opinion on that now?
If we think that meditation just “Isn’t for me”…….
Could we just decide to change our opinion on that now?
I’m sure we accept that, if we were to change our mind on some of those things, it would lead to us achieving the results we desire more easily.
And there’s a chance that we might change our mind in the future on these things.
So could we just change our mind now?
Much love,

P.S. If you’re fed up of approaches that you have found boring, restrictive and hard work and are ready to try something that others like you then found surprisingly easy to do and fun, then here’s where you’ll find that —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply.
