Many of the things that you’ve been told that you need in order to succeed are actually “nice to haves”.

They’re not as essential as they’re made out.

Motivation, as I’ve mentioned many times, is one.

Belief is another.

I see memes on social media on a near daily basis that say some version of “If you believe it, you can do it”.

And that sounds lovely.

But what if you don’t believe that you can do it?

What if you’ve tried in the past and it hasn’t happened?

There’s that niggling little voice that says the same will happen this time?

We’re usually tempted then to not even bother trying.

To not get started.

Or re-started.

We almost sit at home waiting for the “belief bus” to come to us.

But, as I said before, belief is actually a “nice to have”.

It’s not really needed.

Our body will respond in the same way if we do something irrespective of what we believe will happen or how we feel about it.

Improved nutrition and effective exercise don’t wait for our brain to give them permission to work.

They just work.

We can get started irrespective of what we believe.

And then, if anything, belief will start to grow.

Belief is ultimately a form of confidence.

Confidence that something will happen.

And confidence that something will happen comes from that thing happening.

So, never forget that, however you feel, you can do what needs to be done.

If you don’t believe it, you can achieve it.

Much love,

P.S. Many people over the years have told be then didn’t believe that they could “keep up” / “do it” / “fit it in” before they started with us. But they did —>
