Imagine you’re wanting to take up martial arts.

You’d quite like to get a black belt.

You mention it to your friend and they tell you about a martial arts dojo they recommend.

“I’ll start training martial arts when I’ve got my blue belt” you reply.

They, of course, give you a strange look.

Makes no sense, does it?

Yet we do the equivalent with our health, fitness, energy and body all the time.

We put off doing exercise, making better food choices and / or joining RISE until some combination of us;

– Getting fitter

– Feeling better

– Losing some weight

If I had a pound for every time someone told me “I’m thinking of coming and joining you after I’ve got a bit fitter / lost a bit of weight”……………

Or “I’ll get back into doing the Sessions when I feel a bit better in myself”…….

Then, well, I wouldn’t be rich but I’d probably have several hundred extra pounds.

We get it.

We really do.

But, if you’re a member and you’re not feeling great, then I feel pretty confident that a workout will make you feel somewhat better.

I know you won’t feel like it.

But I know that pretty much everyone I’ve ever seen who’s done a workout when they didn’t feel like it, was glad they did.

Because they felt better.

I genuinely can’t remember a single person who said “that made me feel worse”.

And, if you’re not a member, helping people lose weight and get fitter (no matter where they are right now) is what we’re famous for – you join to do that, not wait till you’ve done that to join. Change your life and make a saving at www.myrise.co.uk/offer

And……………

If we’re waiting till we’re “less busy”…………

Then that’s another reason to get cracking.

Improved mental focus and mood, greater physical endurance and less fatigue is exactly what we need when we’re busy.

There is an old Zen saying: “You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day. Unless you’re too busy, then you should sit for an hour.”

Exercise and eating well are much the same – taking a couple of hundred out of the 10,080 minutes in the week can make those other ones so much more productive and effective.

Much love,
