While we’re on the subject (yesterday’s blog), here’s another one.
Something people sometime say.
That, perhaps, they might benefit from questioning.
“I’m just too lazy”.
Usually said when they haven’t been doing as many sessions as they’d like.
If any.
And, again, we get the thought process.
We can see why they might think that.
But it’s rarely, if ever, the case.
They’re often very hard working.
Just, perhaps, in different areas of their life.
At work maybe.
With family and / or friends.
They’ve been doing something with that time.
Even if it’s just recovering from all the other stuff.
They’ve not been sat in a dark room staring at the wall.
Usually anyway 😉
They just haven’t been prioritising this aspect of their life.
And it’s slipped down the ‘totem pole’ somewhat.
Not lazy.
Just doing other stuff.
Other stuff that, at that point, is more tied in with their values.
What they value.
What they see as important.
When exercise and healthy eating stops being restrictive………
Stops being something they ‘should do’………..
Stops being something we can start or stop………..
And becomes ‘looking after ourselves’ so we feel better and can better do those other things that are important to us………..
“Giving a s4!t about what I put in my body because of how it makes me look and feel”………..
Enabling ourselves to be better at the stuff that really is important to us…………
A quick way to feel better RIGHT NOW (and not just look better in a few months’ time)………..
“Laziness” isn’t really an issue.
Much love,
