You may know that I usually speak to people who are interested in what we do on the phone.

We’ve already sent them an amount of information about what we do, and on this call we have a look at what they’re wanting to achieve, what they’ve tried in the past and why that may or may not have worked .

In order to see if our programme is a good fit for working for them this time .

Most people I speak to end up getting started .

But it’s fine if they don’t.

That’s what the call is about.

Giving them the information they need to make an informed decision.

Because they’ve usually been attracted by the message that we put out there, I’d say nearly everyone I ever speak to does think it would be good fit for them .

But perhaps, sometimes, don’t feel they can justify the investment.

Which is cool, I get it .

The other day, for what I think is the first time, I didn’t even get as far as talking about the cost .

The person I was speaking to had a lot of questions .

Which is cool, that’s what I’m there for .

But these questions kept coming back to one central point .

That they couldn’t understand why everything I was talking about wasn’t just something they could do themselves.

Which I freely admitted to them, and I’ll admit to you now, is true.

There is nothing that we will do with a member that they haven’t been able to get the information on for free, on the internet, for over two decades now .

Personally, I would strongly avoid anyone whose sole method of helping you to achieve something that you’ve struggled to achieve by yourself……….

Is to give you more information on “what to do”.

Workouts that you can follow and diets you can do are only a quick Google away.

Free “follow along” workouts are “10 a penny” on YouTube.

As a population, we’ve never had so much information on how to get in better shape or achieve any goal in life.

And yet, as a population, we’ve never been in worse shape.

I often comment that what we do is help take people from “can” to “are” and on to “have”.

Where we come in isn’t in telling people “what to do”.

Although there is sometimes some clearing up of misunderstandings and helping to see through conflicting (or just playing wrong) advice.

It’s about helping them change habits and approaches and ways of seeing things so that these things happen more easily.

It’s about support and accountability and enjoyment along the way.

You can do this by yourself.

If you are, consistently, then that’s great.

Keep up the good work.

For the overwhelming majority who aren’t, alongside everything else they’ve got going on………

Then that’s where we come in (here –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) .

Much love,

Jon ‘You may take our lives’ Hall
