I heard an ad on the radio t’other day.
‘Twas for loft cavity insulation.
“You wouldn’t have your heating on and leave the front door open” it said.
The point, of course, being that it would be a waste of time.
All the ‘good’ of having the heat in on being undone.
########### Whoooooosssshhhhh – ‘parallel’ time #############
It’s a bit like when we work out but eat rubbish.
Tis a common thing we see.
People who put the effort in training a few times a week.
But have cereal for breakfast because they “don’t have the time” for the extra 30 seconds a better breakfast would take.
Or they’re “too busy” watching TV to batch cook a few meals on a Sunday night.
Or they don’t have enough water each day because it’ll take them a minute or two more of toilet trips.
Or they’ll have to remember to fill their water bottle up.
Or they’re not willing to work on learning relaxation techniques and stick with the easier option of a bottle of wine.
We regularly tell people in sessions who ‘aren’t finding the time’ to sort their eating / drinking……..
That we’d rather they missed the session and sorted those things out.
That would be a better use of those 45 minutes.
Sure, exercise is good.
But exercise without healthy eating has minimal effect.
Like heating with an open door.
Sure, better than nothing.
But a closed door will have more benefit.
Sort the eating first (closing the door).
Then add in the exercise (pop the heating on) when you’ve done that.
That’s when the magic happens 🙂
################ That’s why our guys on the ’20lbs’ and ‘Beach Body’ challenge get such great success – we help them do both – myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting to find out more ############
