Have you ever thought that you’re going round in circles?
Not really making the forward progress that you’d like?
I’ll sure we all have at times.
But is a useful thing to realise that both approaches take just as much energy.
That we’re covering distance both ways.
We’re always moving.
It’s just the direction that is key.
Moving 100 metres in a circle would take just as much energy as moving 100 metres in a straight line.
But if our desired destination was 100 metres away, the latter approach would get us there much more quickly.
I know life isn’t always that simple.
Or easy.
But it’s probably simpler and easier than we tell ourselves a lot of the time.
And sometimes getting the results we desire doesn’t actually take any more effort.
It’s perhaps just effort directed in the right direction.
