When it gets really cold, it can get a little chilly down at RISE.

It’s a hard to heat building due to the high ceilings and skylights.

And the costs of installing a heating system that would make a big difference would probably triple the membership costs.

It’s fine though as once people start exercising it’s a perfectly fine temperature.

And people know to come in with an extra layer or two on they can remove when they warm up.

But every time it does get chilly we notice an interesting observation.

The people that point it out the most are also the people who get the least good results.

You know, in terms of weight loss, body composition, etc.

The ones that smash it out of the park in this area never seem to mention the temperature.

The guys that mention it 47 times are, generally, going in the right direction, but not as quickly.

It’s an example of a mindset we mentioned in yesterday’s blog.

Finding problems versus looking for solutions.

If someone’s mindset is currently solution focused, they will decide to bring that extra layer.

In the same way they’ll be looking at ways to improve their eating, sleep, stress, hydration and so on.

We’re not saying people can’t mention the temperature.

They / you can tell us anything you want.

We’re all about feedback.

And we don’t want to tell people what they can and can’t say.

But we know that if we help people move to that solution focused mindset, they’ll get better results.

Much love,
