Before I start this blog, it’s probably worth mentioning that I don’t want to create any conversations about the jab itself, it’s efficacy, safety, whether someone should have it done and so on.
So no replies along those lines are needed.
Instead I’m going to talk about what, for many, is a major advantage over other methods of COVID related risk reduction.
It’s that it (for a time period, at least) is a “one and done”.
You do it relatively quickly and then the advantages of having done it last for a disproportionate amount of time.
Any advantage of wearing a face covering, cleaning or keeping distance is over very quickly.
They are ongoing approaches.
Requiring daily repeating.
Doesn’t mean they’re not worth doing.
But the return in investment of a vaccination is considerably higher than for other approaches.
And there are a similar things we can do with our health and fitness.
Things we can just do once or every now and again.
And things we might need to do most, if not every, day.
There’s tonnes of research that shows that sleeping in complete darkness increases both quantity and quality of sleep.
Installing blackout blinds, covering up LEDs on chargers and removing any other potential light sources takes, maybe, an hour.
And is then done forever.
If that meant we got just 10 more minutes sleep every night that would be an insane ROI.
A couple of minutes watching the relevant videos on our Learn tab could change a way we see things forever and make what we then do so much easier.
Installing (or starting to use) some sort of phone or social media limiter takes a few minutes and could create hundreds of hours a year.
10 minutes putting some thought into the coming week’s movements and eating plans could benefit us more than hours and hours of working out (if weight loss is our intention).
This doesn’t mean that we won’t benefit from the other, more daily things.
But there’s a few massive ROI things that you might like to do if you’re not already.
By far the biggest ‘ROI’ thing you could do……. the thing that hundreds described as the first step of a process that was “life changing”……….. is to reply to this email with ‘Great’ to find out more about how our ‘Great in 8 programme would help you drop unwanted Ibs and form lasting healthy habits over the next 8 weeks without boring exercise you hate and giving up your favourite foods!
Much love,
