I listened to an online training with Russel Kane the other day.
The comedian.
But it wasn’t about comedy.
It was about what he does to keep looking so young (he’s 48).
And he said a couple of lines that jumped out at me.
The first is the blog title.
“It’s the answer that no one wants to hear”
And the second was;
“A boring moderate change over a medium amount of time leads to long-term change”
Whilst he did have a few more advanced supplementational suggestions, he hammered home the point that they are completely pointless until you’d nailed the main three;
1. “Get enough sleep”
2. “Don’t eat sh!t”
3. “Move”
And he’s right.
About the important of those three things.
About the fact that most of the more advanced stuff that many FitPros and magazines talk about is pretty pointless if these things aren’t, at least improved.
It’s like putting a plaster on the hole in the Titanic.
And he’s right about the fact that it’s “the answer no one wants to hear”.
It’s boring.
It’s not s*xy.
It doesn’t sell magazines, supplements and the like.
But it’s the truth.
Concentrate on making some positive steps in the right direction (potentially with proven help via www.myrise.co.uk/apply) before looking at those extra half a percents that don’t add up to much.
Much love,
Jon ‘That’s gotta be’ Hall
