———————-
Over the years we’ve had a number of people criticise our 8 week challenges.
If you’ve not heard, we have a ’20lbs weight loss’ one and a ‘Beach Body’ one.
You can, potentially, get them for free.
—————– Last chance to find out about what we do and these challenges tonight. The programmes sold out 63 months in a row before lockdown and it’ll be business as usual in August. Don’t leave it till “gyms have opened on Saturday” as that means you’ll be leaving it till, at least, September. Or going somewhere else where they’ll be desperate for members ————–
Some people reckon that losing 20lbs in eight weeks is unhealthy.
————- Often local FitPros who don’t have any success stories to show, let alone hundreds ————-
Those people are wrong.
Maintaining 20lbs (or more) of excess weight is unhealthy.
All the research shows this.
If someone doesn’t agree, they need to take it up with the NHS.
Losing said 20lbs will, if anything, improve health.
Now there might be things that someone could do to lose 20lbs that wouldn’t be optimal for health.
But they’re not things that we do.
What people often mean is that “slow and steady, maintainable weight loss is better than dropping it quickly, not being able to keep it up and putting it all back on”.
Also true.
But, again, not what we do.
There is research that shows that people who lose weight quickly can be up to five times more likely to continue to lose weight and keep it off than those that lose it slowly………………
Provided that transition is managed.
It’s what happens after ‘happily ever after’ that’s key.
A quick start can get our buy in.
Create motivation.
Enthusiasm.
Losing half a pound a week is better than not, of course.
But there’s a pretty good chance we’ll get discouraged and not continue.
A quick start followed by a transition into something a bit slower and more long term is the sweet spot.
Then either maintenance or new goals.
Knowing where we are on that journey and what approach to take is key.
So, where-ever you are on that journey right now, that’s what we’re here to help with.
Want a quick start / re-start – talk to us and we’ll figure out the best approach for you.
Want to transition into something a bit more long term?
