We all have in our mind a version of events as we’d like them to occur.
A ‘plan’.
A ‘blueprint’
In all areas.
Maybe it’s eating a certain way and doing a certain number of workouts.
Because that’s what we feel we “need” to do to get the results we want.
And it’s great to have a plan.
And sometimes we’ll achieve that plan.
Which is nice.
But, experience has shown us that, more often than not, we won’t.
And that’s fine too.
It’s what happens then that’s key.
If, across the 52 weeks of the year things happen exactly as we’d like on 5, 10 or 20 of those weeks…………..
Most of our results will come from what we do when it doesn’t happen!
The next best thing.
The one or two workouts rather than none when we can’t do the three or four we would’ve liked to have done.
The home workout, walk or run we do instead of nothing when we can’t make our preferred session.
The better food choice than we could make when it feels like we can’t eat as we’d like for whatever reason.
The keeping it to two or three drinks rather than making it seven after we’d had the first when we’d planned to have none.
What happens when it happens is great.
But it’s what happens when it doesn’t happen that’s key
Much love,
