I’m sure you’ve heard this before.
When talking to people about your attempts to get fitter.
The exercise that you’re doing.
The programme you’re following.
Or someone else is saying about what they’re doing.
And someone says “I’ve got better things to do than exercise”.
Do You Have Better Things to Do Than Exercise?
Quite what those ‘better’ things are, they rarely elaborate.
And they don’t usually look like they get up to all sorts of crazy fun.
But, either way, this is just a quick reminder.
That exercise and other things aren’t ‘mutually exclusive’.
Do Exercise AND Other Things
We can do both.
There’s 168 hours in the week.
Taking 3 for exercise and leaving 165 for everything else doesn’t mean we can’t do those other things.
Whatever they might be.
And, from our experience, the exercise makes those other things better.
The increased energy and endurance, better mood and sleep that can all come from exercise help make that other stuff even more enjoyable (check our no-pressure meetings to take a look at RISE in Macclesfield if you like the sound of that).
And, often, opens up other doors into other things that we enjoy even more.
Just remember – exercise and ‘better things’ aren’t mutually exclusive 🙂
Much love,
Jon ‘Watch Out’ Hall and Matt ‘Call Saul’ Nicholson
