I’ve mentioned countless times that the subject of these blogs, the videos and, really, much of the content we put out there is inspired by conversations with people.

I know that if a few people are bringing up the same question, problem, challenge or concern, they’ll be many others in the same position.

The other day I had a few people who’d been asking about what we do give the same reason why they didn’t feel they should get started at that point.

It is, in case you hadn’t guessed, the title of this blog.

“I’ve got to be 100% committed first”

They didn’t feel their head was in the quite the right space for it.

Which I get.

We’ve all had that feeling countless times I should imagine.

I get it, I really.

But I also know, from experience, that it’s not what needs to happen for someone to get results.

I know that every one of our amazing life changing results came not when;

– They became 100% committed or

– They got themselves in a “good place” or

– They didn’t “have so much on” or

– They could “fully focus on it and give it my all”

The cha,nges came when they became ok with just making some degree of forward progress……….

Even when they couldn’t give 100%, weren’t in a “good place”, still had lot on and / or couldn’t give it their all.

Because those things rarely, if ever happen.

The stars never align.

Life always has a habit of getting in the way.

And that’s fine.

When we wait for those things, we’ll be waiting a long time.

When we become comfortable with a knowingly sub-optimal approach………..

That’s pretty good under the circumstances…………

And probably much better than what we were doing before and would be now if we kept waiting………….

Then the progress actually comes.

Going at 30 to 60mph gets you somewhere way faster than being parked until you feel you can hit 100.
