Imagine you’re in a shop.
You bump into a friend.
“What’re you after?” you ask them.
“I don’t really need any of this stuff” they reply.
“But I spent too much yesterday, so I’m going to spend even more today.”
“I don’t get it?” you respond.
“You know how it is. This week is a write-off. I’ve fallen off the wagon. I’ll start again on Monday”.
“The makes no sense at all” would probably be your, understandable, reply.
But, I’m sure you saw this coming a mile off, we do the same with food.
We eat more than we need………..
And use that as a justification to eat even more.
When, in reality, the opposite would make sense.
Spending more when we’ve spent too much makes no sense.
Whether that’s pounds sterling or calories.
Much love,
Jon ‘A penny’ Hall
