So, today’s blog is kinda the counterpoint to yesterday’s on why slow weight loss can be less effective.

Whilst we’re renowned for helping people make huge, life changing transformations…………

We are aware that there’s a downside to that.

That people can feel the pressure of a large goal and feel overfaced.

And, potentially, end up doing nothing.

Whether that be someone who’s thinking about trying us out but doesn’t as they’re not sure they can achieve the successes they’ve seen have happened here.

Or someone starting a challenge feeling left behind by others and beginning to doubt they can hit, for example, 20lbs of weight loss and, therefore, dropping off a bit.

Or, perhaps, someone who’s achieved a result in the past feeling that they’ve lost there way, start to slip backwards and feel another result is out of their reach.

And we get that.

We get that, at various stages, losing 20lbs or getting a beach body (or any other substantial result) can seem ‘too much’.

Smaller Weight Loss Goals

So, what then?

When, the big goal seems too big………….

Achieve smaller weight loss goals first.

And go from there.

Don’t feel you can lose 20 lbs?

I bet you could lose 1 lb, no?

smaller weight loss goals

Do that.

Then do it again.

And so on.

Or drop a percentage point of body fat or add half a kilo to a PB or run 10 seconds more.

The final goal may take longer than you might ideally like.

But it will come with time.

Which is, surely, better than it not?

Much love,

P.S. Either way, quick or slower, our job is to get our guys at RISE in Macclesfield closer to their desired goal over time. Check the briefing meeting page if you like the sound of somewhere that does that, rather than just rents you access to some equipment or gives you random ‘beastings’.
