We mentioned yesterday about a big change in the way people see food and healthy eating that they often have when they start with us.
It’s what we often call ‘Lack of vs. Full of’.
We like to think of things as healthy because they’re full of good stuff not just because they’re low in a certain bad stuff.
Most eating approaches / diets are based around restriction.
Eating less.
Less calories, less fat, less carbs, etc.
We’re more bothered about getting the good stuff in.
There are certain things I don’t really eat.
Very little bread.
Haven’t had cake in years.
Very rarely any sort of pudding to be honest.
But it’s not that I see that I’ve cut them out.
Just don’t have any room for them.
In my belly or life in general.
There’s too much good stuff in there that I don’t want to be pushed aside to make room for it.
I chose my food on what will feed and fuel my body.
What will make it work well and make me healthy and happy.
Not what it’s missing.
Try doing the same – pick wholesome foods full of natural goodness.
Rather than trying to create a lack of something.
Much love,
Jon ‘Full of something’ Hall and Matt ‘My hovercraft is full of eels’ Nicholson
P.S. We covered sugar earlier in the week. Jo, one of our Macc ninjas, was asking us about salt the other as she’s struggling to reduce her consumption of it.
P.P.S. 10 bonus points to anyone that gets Matt’s middle name – without googling it 🙂
