In one of last week’s emails I mentioned the ‘Escape From Earth’ film I took the boys to see at the weekend.
Twas good.
But not as good as ‘The Lego Movie’.
If you haven’t seen it yet, do so.
Great for adults and kids.
There were plenty of non kid-attending adults in the cinema enjoying it.
It had a lot of good messages in it.
A particular one I liked was “The only thing you need to be special is to believe that you can be”.
The main character Emmet realises at the end that the only thing stopping him being ‘The One’ is that he doesn’t believe he can be.
Fred, one of our ninjas at Buxton, posted a great video in our Facebook Group the other day.
It was by Brendon Burchard, whose books both Fred and I enjoy reading.
It was about how successful people think.
And a massive part of their success is just from believing that they CAN do it.
And that the things they are missing that are stopping them being there now are just things that they need to get.
Not things they ‘just don’t have’.
The skills they need to learn.
The relationships they need to build.
The things they need to make happen.
It’s the same with the changes you might need to make to change your live and body.
Believing you can do it is step one.
Knowing it’s possible is empowering – it puts the ball in your court to do the things to get you there.
Then work backwards and find the steps you need to take to get there.
Then do them.
Remember – the only thing you need to be special is to believe that you can be.
