Anyone with young children (particularly girls) will know what that subject line was about.

The music from Frozen, the latest Disney release, seems to have captured the attention of the kids out there like nothing else in recent memory.

Particularly the ‘Let it go’ song.

That, along with ‘Fixer Upper’ and ‘Love is an open door’ are on pretty much a permanent loop in my house at the moment.

##################################

On a humorous Frozen side note, Alex (my girlfriend), Izzie (her 4 year old daughter) and I had a go at one of these Facebook quiz things to see which Frozen character you’re most like.

Izzie was Ana, the beautiful princess.

I was Olaf, the lovable snowman.

Alex was Bulda.

The troll.

The ability to “let it go” is an important part of leading a happy life.

If we allow it, there is pretty much a constant stream of potential annoyances throughout the day that can ruin our mood.

And when we’re stressed, it’s always much harder to live a healthy life.

We quickly return to old habits that we find easier when our head’s not in the right place.

You know – that jerk that cut you up in the car.

The boss at work that makes life difficult.

The muppet at work that never seems to be able to get anything right.

That friend that makes bitchy comments.

That somebody that let you down when they promised.

##################################

Thing with these annoyances is that there’ll always be there.

If we allow them to be annoyances.

Our ability to let them go is the thing we can work on.

I used to allow things like this to bother me.

I wouldn’t be on as good a form because of something that had happened earlier.

Until someone pointed out that after something has happened, all that is left is your memory of it.

The thing itself is in the past – all there is now is what you’re allowing to run through your head.

So, if you find yourself bothered by things like this, try and follow the words of Princes Ana and ‘Let it go’.

You’ll feel better for it.

And you’ll find the stuff you need to do to get fit, healthy, etc so much easier.

Much love,
