What’s the first thing you do when you start a jigsaw?

I bet you replied with something like ‘start with the corners, then fill in the sides”.

But you missed a step.

The first thing we do is look at the box.

To get an understanding of what the finished article should look like.

Then comes the corners and the sides.

And our life is the same.

The clearer and understanding we have of what we want it to look like, the more likely we are to create that.

The more vague ‘the picture’, the less likely it is to happen.

It’s easy to tell ourselves “I don’t really know what I want”.

But I’m not convinced that’s true.

We perhaps just don’t want to give that more crystallised definition……..

Because, when we do, we’re setting the parameters for perceived failure.

It’s a brave choice to create a clear picture of where we want our life to be.

But it definitely won’t happen if we don’t set that picture.

It’s just the ‘failure’ has not been defined and is hidden.

I think we know what changes we’d like to make.

And clearly defining the specifics of that ‘image’…….

Then putting in the ‘corners’ and the ‘sides’……..

To define the limit of what we’re not willing to go outside of………

Then methodically filling in the pieces over time……..

Will lead to the difference between a beautiful finished jigsaw (which is infinitely more likely actually in our Group PT programme –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) ……..

Or the proverbial ‘bag full of pieces’!

Much love,
