I’m sure we’ve all been in a situation where we’ve stopped doing something because we felt we’d lost motivation for.
I get that.
A common human thought process that I’m sure we all have at times.
I’m sure that there are countless other things in our life that we “don’t feel like doing”……. but don’t stop.
So is it worth considering that the reason that we stopped isn’t because we lost motivation………
Because we started believing that we needed motivation?
That it was an essential part.
We have plenty of things in our life that we “don’t feel like doing” but just do do.
As much is I generally enjoy what I do, I’d be lying if I said they were days where I didn’t feel like doing.
I can’t say I’ve ever particularly felt like driving several hours a week for school runs.
I’ve never “been in the mood” to wash and iron the clothes, clean the car or unload the dishwasher.
But these are just things that we do because we’ve considered that they are non-negotiable.
We don’t feel that we need motivation aka “feeling like it” for them.
So why can’t other things be like that?
Just choosing to do them irrespective of how we feel about doing them because we value them being done (I literally promise you that you’ll find it easier to get in shape if you jump in at www.myrise.co.uk/apply).
