On Friday I wrote about working harder in workouts.
And about how no one ever actually works at 100%.
And that realising that is powerful.
Getting a little closer to that drives more progress.
And, really, it’s the same with all effort.
Working smarter matters, of course,
But combining that with more effort is a double whammy.
We’ll all have days where we genuinely couldn’t have done any more………
I think we would be doing ourselves a disservice if we told ourselves we were always “trying our hardest” and “doing our best”.
I know I rarely do.
Again, doesn’t need to be 100%.
If anything, that’s an unrealistic target that sets us up to feel like we’ve failed.
But narrowing that gap even a little improves progress.
In whatever we’re trying to improve.
