I’ve had a few conversations this week with members about their **morning routine**.

And the general consensus was “I don’t really have one”.

But further exploration revealed that they did.

And I’d say we all do.

We just don’t always realise it.

A fairly high proportion of our day is done in very similar ways.

Following habits.

Our morning especially.

If your first hour on waking looks like this;

– Alarm

– Snooze

– Alarm

– Snooze

– Alarm

– Scroll on socials for a bit

– Teeth and toilet

– Get changed

– Breakfast

– Watch the news……..

Then that’s your morning routine.

And I’m not saying that’s a bad routine……

But it might not be the best one for you.

If the entirety of someone’s plan for the day (or week) is to “get through it”………

Then I’d say they’d probably benefit from looking at their morning routine.

Maybe some time looking at their schedule, their goals (or making some if there aren’t any), what went well yesterday and what needs to be revisited and so on.

Maybe something to improve how they feel going into the day if that’s not currently where they want it to be?

Some combination of movement, exercise, meditation, journaling, changes to eating, etc.

Important thing to remember is that you do have a morning routine right now.

If you think that you don’t, then it’s probably ‘sub-optimal’.

And would benefit from being looked at.

Especially if you currently start the day feeling some combination of apathetic, uninspired, unmotivated, stressed and / or anxious (everything I help with www.myrise.co.uk/).
