So, tonight is the night.

 

The find out more meeting for this ’21 Day Summer Slimdown’ that we’re trialling.

 

We’ve pushed it quite a bit on social media recently.

 

Although membership has been steady for about four years now, we’re introducing a few things at the moment that aren’t cheap.

 

So need a little growth at what is normally a quieter time of year.

 

We’ve got a variety of people coming tonight.

 

People who’ve only just heard of us.

 

People who’ve been thinking of coming for years and have realised that if they don’t try it out now, they probably never will.

 

Quite a few ex-members coming back.

 

The overwhelming majority of the responses from ex-members was positive.

 

Along the lines of “I loved it but had to stop coming and this is a good way to get back into it”.

 

Or “I’d love to but I’ve moved away, can’t make it at the moment, etc”

 

Got this one too;

 

“I would but I wouldn’t carry on after as the classes at the Leisure Centre are cheaper”

 

Which I won’t dispute.

 

Well, other than pointing out that a ‘class’ is where an instructor demos at the front and everyone copies.

 

We do what could most closely be called ‘Group Personal Training Sessions’. Personalised training in Macclesfield.

 

But anyway.

 

If you’re just looking for a hard workout, then there are plenty of cheaper options.

 

For people who already consistently exercise 3+ times a week, are happy with their eating and have achieved and maintained their health and fitness goals………..

 

Then we’re probably not the best option.

 

Sure, we’d help.

 

But they’d be able to get what they need (those hard workouts) elsewhere for less.

 

Pretty much anyone can give you a ‘good’ workout.

 

My 8 year old step daughter can do that.

 

When she comes down to RISE with me and / or her mum and brothers, she goes to the white board and writes stuff like;

 

100 burpees

 

100 press ups

 

100 squats

 

100 sit ups

 

Then proceeds to make us all do that.

 

She’s mean!

 

Pretty basic, but more than effective.

 

And great for an 8 year old.

 

But if the kids end up coaching at RISE when they’re older (and they want to) and can only do random hard workouts, I’ll be a bit disappointed in them.

Not random exercise.
