Hope you had a marvelous Bank Holiday weekend 🙂

Last week att and I attended the funeral of Adam Broadbent – husband and father of two of our members who died of cancer two weeks ago.

Many of you will know that we’ve been helping out in our own little way with their fantastic 50-50-50 campaign to raise money (80 grand and counting) for The Christie Hospital.

The funeral was a fantastic tribute and send off to Adam with several family members and friends

talking about him interspersed with some of his favorite music.

Adam had requested that after his cremation, his ashes be sent up in a big firework on bonfire night.

Which I think is a wicked idea.

It reminded me that my own Father has specified that when his time comes, he wants to be cremated and sent up in a space rocket – no joke, check it out here.

My Dad tells me he always wanted to be an astronaut when he was a little boy.

And this is (I should imagine) his last chance to go into space.

You see – its never too late to be what you wanted to be, or so what you wanted to do.

If you’ve always wanted to be slimmer, you can still do it.

If you’ve always wanted to learn a language, it’s not too late – get started now, go online and arrange a course.

If you want to change your career, you haven’t missed the boat – take step one ASAP, book in for a careers fayre, speak to somebody in that field.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

If that’s still something you want now (you might have gone off being a fireman), than put the wheels in motion and remember – “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.

It’d be cool to hear what it is you’ve always wanted – please let us know either by replying to this or posting in our facebook group.

Much love,

Jon and Matt
