A couple of months ago I developed a bit of what you’d probably call ‘Athlete’s Foot’ around the toe nails of my right foot.
A hazard of the job when you wear trainers nearly all day every day.
Bit rank it was.
So, I got some cream from the chemist.
Used it sporadically for a few weeks.
Then ‘just kinda stopped’ as it didn’t seem to be doing much to clear it up.
Daft, of course.
When the wife pointed out that such things only work (as the label says) when used daily for a few months………
And told me off a little for “being rank”………
Then I started applying it properly and regularly.
And, lo and behold, it has cleared up.
Quelle surprise!

People often do the same with attempts at healthy eating and exercise.
They’ll ‘sort of’ do it for a few weeks.
Then, when progress is minimal and painfully slow……….
They’ll ‘just kinda stop.’
Maybe not a conscious decision to give up on it.
But it’s easy to allow it to peter out when the results don’t seem to make it worth it.
Of course, the same thing applies as with the athlete’s foot cream.
It needs to be applied consistently and regularly for an amount of time for anything to happen.
It won’t take forever.
But it’s not over night either.
And it will be painfully slow if it’s only ‘sort of’ done.
We recommend eating healthily 95% of the time.
Even dropping that to 80% slows progress drastically.
At 50% progress is non existent.
To help put the time frame it’ll take into context……….
Think about how long it took you to gain the weight / get out of shape.
Years to decades is the usual answer.
It won’t take as long to undo.
Not by a long shot.
But it’s more than a few days or weeks.
It’s one of the reasons we do an ‘8 week challenge’ rather than a ‘Free day pass’ or ‘One week trial’.
After one day people won’t look or feel any different and would probably just be a bit sore – the right combination to put people off coming back!
After 8 weeks people are either 20lbs lighter or have the Beach Body (for those that had less than 20lbs to lose) and are well on the way to making their new habits a permanent lifestyle change.
So, with whatever you’re doing, give it time.
And be consistent with your ‘application’.
Don’t beat yourself up if you miss the odd few.
But don’t let that spiral off into not doing it at all.
Struggle with doing that yourself?
The last ‘find-out-more meeting’ of the year is tonight.
Want to lose 20lbs or get a Beach Body and potentially do it for FREE?
And, with the challenges of Christmas coming up, we’ve got a little something to make passing this challenge easier.
No pressure, no sales, just find out if it’s for you.
Or bring your friend if you’re already on it 🙂
Much love,
