Which of these is easiest?

Achieving a goal?

Not achieving a goal?

“Succeeding”?

Or “failing”?

Doing something?

Or not doing it?

It’s tempting to pick the first of each pair as the easiest option, isn’t it?

Kinda seems obvious, doesn’t it?

But, ultimately, neither is easy.

It’s not easy to do what needs to be done to lose weight.

But it’s not easy to be carrying around extra weight and have a body we don’t like the look and feel of.

It’s not easy to learn to meditate and to do it regularly.

But it’s not easy to consistently feel more stressed than we’d like to be.

It’s not easy to get more sleep

But it’s not easy to be tired a lot.

It’s not easy to make positive changes to our eating.

But it’s not easy to live with the knock-on effects of a poor diet.

The problem, of course, lies in the fact that the difficulty of the first choices is in the present………..

And the difficulty of the second choices is in the future.

But neither is easy.

We don’t get to choose easy.

Thinking that we do is disempowering.

It’s not going to be easy.

We can just “choose our hard” (if you’re ready to choose the much better “hard” that’ll benefit your life way more, we’re here to make sure that happens. Take the next step by filling the form in at www.myrise.co.uk/apply and we’ll see if the programme is a good fit for you).

Much love,

Jon ‘Tiger’ Hall
