Imagine you get a new car.

Seems pretty good to start with.

Runs nicely.

Getting good mileage out of it.

Does exactly what you wanted it to do.

After a while it starts to slow down.

Hasn’t got much acceleration.

Not getting many miles per gallon.

The tank keeps clogging up.

The engine is clearly struggling.

Problems with the exhaust.

You take it to be looked at.

“Found the problem” the mechanic begins.

“You’ve been putting the wrong fuel in”.

“It’s a common problem” he continues.

“Ever since the government changed the fuel guidelines, people think they’re doing the right thing.”

“And the fuel marketing people have taken advantage of this and made people think this crap is what they should be filling up with.”

You can’t feel too bad towards the car, can you?

The Basil Fawlty style thrashing you were planning seems unwarranted now.

I’m sure you’ve probably seen the parallel already.

Many people come to us thinking they’ve been doing the right thing.

And they find that they are starting to ‘slow down’.

Their ‘acceleration’ has gone.

Low in energy despite consuming enough of it (and having tens of thousands of units of it ‘in storage’).

Heart might be clogging up.

The stomach struggling.

Problems with their ‘exhaust’.

Turns out they’ve been putting the wrong ‘fuel’ in.

Trying to power their body on sugar, other refined carbs and caffeine when it’s designed to run on a balance natural carbs, protein and healthy fats.

Not being made aware that it’s not just how much fuel goes in that controls the ‘performance’.

But the various adjustments that they weren’t aware of.

#################

So don’t feel to guilty about what’s happened to your ‘vehicle’ when you thought you were putting the right fuel in.

But, at the same time, now you know what the right fuel is, why carry on putting the wrong stuff in.

If you made the above discovery about your car, you wouldn’t keep putting the right fuel in during the week, the pumping it full of diesel at the weekend would you?

You wouldn’t think “A little bit of ‘four stroke’ (lawn mower fuel) won’t do any harm, will it?”

You’ve made a mistake in the past through a mixture of bad information and other factors.

Don’t keep making the same mistake now you know the truth……….

Much love,

P.S. Don’t miss out on getting a place on the find-out-more meeting if you think you might want to be getting in better shape in the New Year – myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting 🙂
