While we’re on the subject of things people have said recently………

I was chatting to some members the other week.

We were talking about people’s concerns before they started with us.

And, as it usually is, being judged was a big one.

By us, the staff.

And other members.

Feeling like they were the fattest, unfittest, oldest, stupidest, or some other est.

Others looking down on them.

Making them feel inferior in some way.

“But I came to realise” one member began…….

“That no one cares.”

“Not in a bad way. As in you care about us all and us getting success.”

“But everyone’s on their own journey. And what someone else is or isn’t doing isn’t all that relevant to them” (check myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you haven’t yet started – or need to restart – your journey).

Worrying about what people think is one of the surest ways to stop us doing anything.

Getting that combination of………

Realising most people are too caught up in their own stuff to be bothered what others are up to……….

And, for those that are bothered, that’s there issue………

Is essential to doing the things we need to do.

Whatever our goals 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘Bear’ Hall and Matt ‘Home’ Nicholson
