I’m sure you recognise the slightly adjusted line there.

Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca.

“Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine”

I must admit, until I just googled it, I thought it was “Out of all the bars………”

Well, I’m going to marginally edit it.

“Of all of the faffs in all of the world”.

Because that’s the word (or some variation) that people often give for not tracking their food.

It’s a faff / pain / inconvenience / pain in the arse.

And we get it.

It is.

But………..

Out of all the faffs in all the world……….

Its probably the smallest one with the highest return on investment.

Way less effort per week than a single workout would be.

Much less of a ‘pain’ than being in a body you don’t like the look and feel of.

A fraction of the inconvenience of having lower energy levels 24 hours a day.

It takes 10 to 20 minutes to download, set up and get your head around how it works.

Call it an hour if you want.

A minute or two per meal at most to punch stuff in.

And the realisations it gives are worth their weight in gold.

The impact of certain choices.

The tactical swaps that can massively reduce that impact.

The ‘accountability’ it brings over our choices.

We get it.

It’s a bit of a faff.

But, of all faffs in all of the world……….

It’s probably the best one you can do.

Much love,

Jon ‘Rick Blaine’ Hall

P.S. 6 days to the find out more meeting. Check myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you, or a friend, are ready to make a ‘comeback’ out of lockdown 🙂
