Anyone remember CrackerJack?
On from 1979 to 1984 Google tells me.
Kids TV programme it was.
Had a guy called Stu Francis in it.
Who’s ‘catchphrase’ was “Ooh! I could crush a grape”.
He even released a single of the same name in 1983 and 1985.
Kids TV has come along in the last few decades it must be said.
That phrase often pops into my head.
When I see fellow FitPros and others posting.
About how they are going to ‘crush’ their day.
“Smash it”
And how they’re going to engage their “Beast Mode”.
Because, usually, when I read them, a grape is about all I feel like crushing.
I know from countless conversations that most people feel the same.
That you probably do.
Talk of crushing, smashing and beast mode is off-putting to most.
They can’t quite see it.
Definitely don’t ‘feel it’.
Thing is though………..
You don’t need to crush anything.
From my experience, those that say they are, rarely are.
From my experience, the majority of FitPros are broke and miserable.
It’s just how they’d like to be perceived.
Just keep taking little steps.
Ones that seem, on the face of it, insignificant.
But they all add up.
Every little decision………
Each food choice……….
One exercise session at a time………..
One lifestyle practice at a time (meditation, time planning, de-stress techniques, etc)……….

They all add up to way more then ‘crushing it’ ever did!
Much love,
Jon ‘Fan Dabby Dozy’ Hall and Matt ‘Rock on Tommy’ Nicholson
P.S. Googling ’80s TV Catchphrases’ brings up a worrying number of Operation Yewtree ‘subjects’ 🙁
