The next thing I’ve found over the years that can have an affect on our mood and mental health (both positively and negatively) is our relationships (and interactions) with other people.
When our relationships are in chaos, our mood often follows suit.
We might not always feel up to it, but nurturing the relationships that make us feel better……….
Whilst, at the very least, setting boundaries with those that don’t……….
Is like watering the plants and trimming the weeds of our ‘garden’ of mental health.
Some people will recommend that you “cut people out of your life” if they’re not good for you.
I’m not sure this is always realistic (or even needed or a good idea) though.
But we can definitely address the balance of how much time and energy we spend with and direct at different people.
Much love,
Jon ‘Six’ Hall
