The best exercise for weight loss [It’s not what you think]
www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1679098335592725

I was recently tagged in a conversation looking for recommendations on Facebook.

About where to go for the best workout.

Various local FitPros were on it saying how great their workouts were.

One had even said that “Our workouts are better then theirs” (with reference to us).

And you know what?

I’m sure they are probably right.

They will be.

By one definition.

In terms of getting maximal results, I do not doubt it.

I’ve seen videos online of their sessions.

They look brutal.

They will provide amazing improvements to strength and endurance.

If done.

Because, ultimately, only a proportion of people are ok with workouts that hard.

The sort you can barely walk after and leave you sore for days.

They’re fine for some.

But, for me and most of our members, that’s not an approach we’re willing to take.

Too many other things to do and too many people reliant on us to spend hours working out and days unable to to do everything we want to.

Our workouts are knowingly sub-optimal.

By design.

Challenging enough to get results.

But still enjoyable.

The sort of thing you want to come back and do again.

Because hundreds of 80% workouts add up to way better results than one 100% one.

Being “OK” with sub-optimal is a useful skill to learn.

Knowing what “train like an athlete, eat like a nutritionist” looks like can be useful for context.

But is something most of us are some combination of unwilling and unable to do.

If it’s that or nothing………

It’ll usually be nothing.

The sub-optimal, but still pretty good, workouts and eating that you do do………

Will always be best.
