Probably an average of once a week or so I get comments on my social media posts about RISE from someone explaining why they can’t join.
“I’d love to, but……..”
Nearly always followed by something that, whilst it may be an additional challenge, is surmountable.,
And probably something a least a few dozen members (and millions of people in general) are currently experiencing.
I often reply with an explanation as to why that issue doesn’t need to stop them completely.
“I’d love to, but I’m too busy” is a common one.
“That’s cool – the programme is specifically designed for busy people and is as time efficient as possible. We’ve had countless people who thought they were too busy to do it, do it and get great results”.
Or similar explanations about how their size, shape, fitness, levels and injuries don’t need to stop them.
I got a unique one the other day.
“I’ll do it if I can still eat Spearing’s pies”
For those of the “less local” disposition, Spearing’s are a local, family run butchers who have been providing Macclesfield with highly rated meats, pies and more for over 80 years.
I replied with “Sure, no probs – we can make that work. You in?”
As you might expect, no response.
I’m not sure that, out of the hundreds who’ve ever expressed a “barrier to entry” on these posts have ever responded or started when I’ve helped remove that barrier.
Members who pay for my / our services usually incorporate the help I / we give, because they’ve asked for it.
When people present a ‘problem’ like this, they don’t really want it solved.
Whilst 100% of people who’ve ever told me that they’re “too busy”…………
And have then gone one to use the systems at www.myrise.co.uk/time………
Have found they were able to reassign enough time to exercise……….
Most didn’t even look at the system.
Didn’t even click the link.
Or scanned it and thought “That’s nice, I’m too busy” (AKA “Too busy to spend few minutes becoming less busy”).
When a problem is presented and then the solution not used, there’s an argument to be made that that was never the problem in the first place.
Often, the reason isn’t the reason.
We all do it from time to time.
Questioning that is powerful.
Much love,

P.S. The risk-free 4 Week Kickstart is the perfect way to test our theories as to why we “can’t do it”. If it turns out they were true, you can get your money back. Zero risk. New month tomorrow, why keep waiting? —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply
