How many of you take vitamins regularly?

How many take the occasional aspirin, ibuprofen, etc when you have a head ache or other pain?

No need to answer (unless you really want to).

I’m fairly confident more people will do the latter.

Understandable.

We know that vitamins will probably benefit us.

At some point in the future.

But, that’s quite a way away isn’t it?

Each individual vitamin makes no difference right now?

And we never really know how things would or wouldn’t be if we had or hadn’t taken them, do we?

But painkillers?

Make us feel better pretty much straight away, don’t they?

Much easier to ‘remember to take’?

The mistake many FitPros make with trying to ‘sell’ you health and fitness is to treat it solely as a ‘vitamin’.

Not just selling you their services, but selling you on the decisions we can and do make multiple times every day.

Talking about how you can get to your target weight and “feel amazing”………..

In, maybe, a year or two.

Which is nice.

But forcing ourselves to go for a workout, or make a better food choice for a result that’s still months or years away?

Tough sell.

Seeing healthier living for as both a vitamin AND a painkiller?

Much more powerful.

Making that post work session because it’ll help you feel better after a crappy day at work?

Immediately lift your mood?

Put you on better form when you get home?

Or getting up early so that you hit your day feeling more alert and energetic?

To get more out of everything else you’ve got planned?

Or making a better food choice because you know you’ll immediately regret the worse one?

And you’ll feel better afterwards and tomorrow?

Couple all these with what will happen in a few weeks, months and years?

All much easier ‘sells’ (check myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you’re finally sold on this).

It’s fine (vital really) to see eating better and exercising for it’s ‘vitamin’ benefits.

But, if seeing at that alone hasn’t worked for you (as it doesn’t for most)………….

Then it’s worth remember that it’s a painkiller too 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘Ruel’ Hall and Matt ‘Qveen Herby’ Nicholson
