Have you ever not done something because you were “too busy”?

I would be absolutely astounded if a single person replied to that with a “No”.

It’s an absolute given.

That is life.

We can’t always set out do everything we set out to do.

And beating ourselves up over that isn’t beneficial.

Sometimes we won’t be able to make a work out or will end up making different food choices because of a lack of time created by other commitments.

But, if we don’t do any exercise for weeks or months on end……….

Was that really a “busyness” thing?

In the 40,000 minutes that have passed in the last month did we not spend any of them doing less important things like watching TV and scrolling social media?

Did we use all of those minutes as efficiently as possible?

Did we plan and structure our days to maximize the effectiveness of that finite resource of time?

Was it literally impossible to have fitted in five or ten minutes of exercise?

Or maybe even a few full Group PT Sessions down at RISE? (www.,myrise.co.uk/apply to try that out risk free)

Maybe.

But I doubt it.

Maybe we were too busy to accurately track everything we were consuming at the point of consumption.

But were we really too busy to take a photo of it and then catch up at some point?

Maybe we did run out of time for a few specific meals.

But were we really so busy that we couldn’t have spent a couple of minutes here and there averaging out to create maintenance or deficit across the whole week or month?

And how did being busy mean that we had spend longer eating two or three times more than we needed at some meals?

It’s absolutely fine to be too busy to do some things.

But is it worth questioning if busyness was really our reason for essentially doing nothing?

Much love,
