I don’t know if all kids do this as much as mine………

Or if its a result of there being four of them……..

But my life often feels like the Spanish Inquisition.

Questions.

All day every day.

Mainly the three boys actually.

The default response to any request recently seems to have become “Why?”.

And the eldest particularly has always been very analytical.

And likes to understand the reasons behind pretty much everything there is.

Which is fine.

I’m happy to answer the questions they genuinely don’t know the answer to.

And will give them a suggestion as to have a little think about the ones that have already been answered repeatedly in the past.

But, there’s a time and a place for all the questions.

The last ten minutes of us leaving the house usually turns into me repeatedly saying “No more questions for now, let’s just get going”.

And, as the car pulls off the driveway, I’ll usually ask “Right, who had a question?”

Because questions are fine.

Wanting to know why we’re doing something is understandable.

But…………

Not at the expense of doing it.

Or doing it at the time it needs to be done.

It’s easy to get caught up in questions.

“What’s the best way to exercise?”

“What should I eat?”

And countless variations of the above.

But if too much of those types of questions leads us to doing nothing………..

That’ll never get us anywhere.

Paralysis by analysis.

Start taking action.

Or more action.

Correct course along the way, sure.

Tweak and refine the approach.

Work smarter, not just harder.

But questions and theory alone never got anyone anywhere.

Action is key.

Movement is essential.

So, get moving now.

Book in for that next session.

Get round to checking the Phase material on the members’ site or app.

Have a chat with a coach.

Or, if you haven’t already, click this link to take the next step – – > myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting.

Save the questions for in the car 😉

Much love,
