Apparently there is a prayer called the ‘Serenity prayer’.
I say ‘apparently’ as I’m not remotely religious.
The prayer goes:
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
The courage to change the things I can;
And the wisdom to know the difference”
Love that shizzle!
The amount of whinging you see and hear on a daily basis………
In person and all over social media……….
About stuff that the whinger can do nothing about……..
Is mind blowing.
Sure, some things in life are crap.
Bad things happen to good people.
People will do things we don’t like.
People will irritate us.
Taxes, bills, fines, etc will need to be paid.
Whinging only serves to do one thing about it.
Make the whinger feel worse.

Conversely, there’s just as much, if not more, whinging over things that are complete under that person’s control.
Sure, it would be nice if we could eat crappy, but tasty food all day, not exercise, get pissed every night and not sleep……….
And still have a body we liked the look and feel of………
And would last us a long time.
But we can’t.
Again, whinging only serves to do one thing about it.
Make the whinger feel worse.

As with anything, it’s easier said that done.
But, if we can develop the serenity to accept the things we cannot change;
The courage to change the things we can;
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Then we’ll all be on to a winner.
