A week last Saturday, we had our Christmas Party.

Online, of course.

It was epic!

146 of us.

Check out the highlights here if you haven’t already –> www.facebook.com/myrise.co.uk/posts/3409735945746915

And maybe take the next step to find out more about our RISE Together Programme and what we do if you’re used to places that get 10 out of their 3,000 members out to their Christmas do –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting

The meal was provided by member Sarah Kate and her team at the St. Dunstan’s Inn and it was amazing.

It was the first time they’d done such a thing and they did a fantastic job.

It took a fraction longer than they thought it might and the last meals were dropped off with people a little after the predicted time.

Which was fine.

Even before the end of the predicted window, I was receiving messages from members.

Checking what was happening.

Which is also fine.

Better safe than sorry.

Several of them said some version of “Should I be stressing?”.

To which there was a real simple answer.

“No”.

The food was going to arrive when it arrived either way.

Stress or not.

Stress would’ve made no difference to the outcome.

So was pointless.

As it often can be.

Stress has it’s place, of course.

But it’s not always needed.

And not always beneficial.

And often the opposite.

And learning to chose not to stress over things that aren’t benefitted by stress is an invaluable skill.

In all areas.

Our eating especially.

We can see eating ‘better’ as a huge source of stress.

Of frustration.

Of challenge.

Or we can just make better food choices than we used to…….

Or than we could do……..

More often than not.

Much love,
