In 1975 Showaddywaddy sang that there were three steps to heaven.
They were, unfortunately, wrong.
There are, of course, four steps to heaven.
- Decide what you really want (better body, health, job, house, etc) – ie: What is your ‘heaven’?
- Decide what you need to do to get there
- Decide what behaviours stop you getting there / slow your progress
- Do more of Step 2 and less of Step 3.
Easy?
Not necessarily.
Simple?
Yes!
As humans, we have a habit of overcomplicating things.
If you do the above steps, over and over, you WILL get closer to your goal.
Fact!
Again, we appreciate it’s easier said than done.
It will require effort, commitment and some sacrifice.
But it will be worth it.
And it will get easier.
The problem most people have is that they don’t fully follow each step.
They don’t stop and take time to think what they really want.
They sort of know they want to lose weight.
And be a bit healthier.
But don’t neccisrily think through what that really means to them.
They might work out what they need to do.
But neglect to look at the potential roadblocks.
The things that have probably got in the way in the past.
And work out how to deal with them.
So, if you want something, try applying those four steps to it.
Now!
Go!
Seriously, do it 🙂
