Have you ever seen that reply to a post on social media?

“Somebody had to say it”

You know, usually said in response to what the writer of both the post and the response considered to be “common sense”.

Possibly standing up against “political correctness gone mad”.

Or the “woke brigade”.

The thing is though, that thing’s usually been said countless times.

Doesn’t mean people can’t say it again, of course.

But there’s no shortage of it being said.

A lack of things being said doesn’t seem to be the issue in most cases.

Saying things is very easy.

Doing something is rarer.

It’s never been easier to publish our opinions, beliefs and intentions for others to read.

And, if we take it that the majority of the people aren’t getting the results that they’d like………

Then, as a population, we’ve never been doing what we said we would less.

There, somebody had to say it 😉

Life can become very simple when we just do what we said we would.

And that builds confidence and momentum………

Rather than disappointment and frustration.

We can do this through some combination of;

1. Being more realistic with what we set out to do (or maybe, breaking a bigger goal down into smaller steps)

2. Putting in place concrete steps, plans and arrangements to bridge the gap between where we are now and where we’d like to be

3. Just then doing what we set out to do irrespective of how we then feel about it at time

Talking about things is great.

It’s those important first steps.

Butt, ultimately, talking doesn’t achieve results.

Action does.
