On New Year’s Eve last year I posted the following in our members only Facebook group:
“As we enter the last few hours of 2018, I’d be interested to see how you’ve all found this year.
From a health, fitness and wellbeing perspective what’s happened? The highs and the lows. The good and the bad. The successes and the challenges. What’s changed since this time last year? What do you now see differently?
Go………..”
It got loads of great responses.
Really rewarding to hear from so many members about the great forward progress they’d, on average, made through the year.
One particular line stuck in my head.
So much so that I’m blogging about it four months later.
From Tracey.
She talked about where she’d found herself in the middle of the year before joining.
And what had changed since.
“Thanks to Jon for the relentless content which really does change your mind set” was the line.
‘Relentless’ was the word.
I liked it.
Because I see that as one of the keys to our success at RISE.
Not relenting.
Not ‘stopping’.
Whilst many FitPros blog a handful of times and stop because they weren’t then inundated with new clients……………
We’re on nearly 1,600 weekdays in a row now!
Same with the daily videos in the members only group.
The hundreds of consecutive weeks of the Sunday Digest / Touch Base email and post to all members.
The Monday ‘High Fives’ success recognition post in the group.
The Tuesday goal setting post.
The Friday follow up to that.
And everything else that gets done in the club and online day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.
Each one doing relatively little.
But all adding up.
Some are better than others.
Some of these blogs and videos get a massive response.
Many I don’t hear a single word back from.
But, over time, they’ve added up to something I like to think is pretty special.
And countless amazing results for our customers.
Relentlessness is our key.
And it’s yours as well.
Slowing down and speeding up is fine.
Circumstance will always dictate that.
It does for everyone.
It’s the ‘stopping’ that’ll kill ya!
It’s the ‘leaving it’ till next week, month or year.
It’s the ‘writing it off’ when it’s not perfect (whatever that is).
Small actions that add up………..
A minimum amount you can always do, no matter what…………
Stuff you can do better some weeks………….
But that you can be relentless with………….
Will always get you further than an approach that you do have to ‘relent’ on (check myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you need to get restarted and you want this to be the last ‘restart’).
Much love,
Jon ‘Ricky’ Hall and Matt ‘Origin’ Nicholson
P.S. There’s only one person on this mailing list that will get my middle name I reckon
