If in doubt call it 1,000 calories

I was driving child number three to his Sunday football game last week.

As we often do, we played some games en-route.

20 questions in this case.

He got what I thought was a quite obscure one in about 10 questions.

And I commented after that that was the best game of twenty questions he’d ever played.

He usually asks questions that are too specific to start with.

“Are you a footballer?” on question one, for example.

Ones that, when they get a “No”, haven’t really got him any closer to the actual answer.

This time he’d started really broad.

Questions like “Are you alive?” and “Are you on earth?” to start with.

Narrowing down to the inevitable answer.

Starting “too narrow” is a mistake we all often make.

Looking and times of eating, macro balance and advanced training techniques……..

When getting in a calorie deficit and doing some form of exercise we find sufficiently enjoyable would help us with our goals more than anything.

Those ‘narrower’ questions have their place, sure.

Maybe for a bit further down the line.

But starting ‘broad’, with those big return-on-investment activities, first will get us to the answer we’re after much quicker 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘Bean’ Hall

P.S. Question 1: Do you want to lose weight, get fit and improve your health whilst having fun with like minded people in an intimidation free atmosphere? If the answer is yes, you don’t need to bother with 19 more questions. Just click this link and get booked in –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting.
