I’ve mentioned many times in these blogs the value of tracking.

Of tracking your food.

Of tracking your time.

Of tracking your results.

Yeah, I get it.

It could be seen as a little “boring”.

But that’s life.

We’re not children.

We don’t need to be entertained constantly.

Sometimes we benefit from doing stuff that is a little bit boring.

There’s massive value in tracking these things.

But, somewhat ironically, us humans are most tempted to not track them when we would benefit from tracking them the most.

We say we’re too busy to track our time…………..

When that is when tracking our usage of time would benefit us the most.

We don’t track our food when it’s less obvious how to……………

When that is when it would benefit us the most.

We don’t track our results when we think they’re not going to be good…………

When that is when it would benefit us the most.

It’s not unusual that people avoid doing the In-Body analysis at RISE when they think it’s not going to be good.

But that’s the time to do it to get a baseline for what it is and to help set a concrete plan going forward to change it.

Rather than just telling ourselves “I know what I need to do, I just need to do it”.

When our life is at his busiest and most full-on, that is when we would benefit the most from keeping track of exactly how we’re using that finite resource of time.

And using that data to make some tweaks to make that 10 or 20% difference in how much time is available.

When we’re eating out or someone else is feeding us and we “haven’t got a clue” as to how many calories are in there. ………….

That is probably the time when we’re most likely to massively overdo those calories…………

And would therefore benefit the most from getting a degree of a clue as to what is in there.

All data related to the results we desire and the processes that go into that can be useful.

But it’s often the data that we don’t want to see (or find hardest to get) that is the most beneficial.

Much love,

Jon ‘entry job’ Hall

P.S. If you want some proven support to help you get that data and make those changes (the changes we get people being the most important bit there), then here’s where you’ll find it –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply)
