Dirty Harry.

Snake Plissken (Kurt Russel in Escape From New York).

Tonto’s mate.

All famous ‘Lone Wolves’.

Bad asses who do things their way!

Invariably portrayed on screen as being cool.

An appealing approach we probably all like to think we have a bit of in us.

In reality?

The Lone Wolf often starves to death.

The pack work together and survive.

Game Of Thrones fans (not me – I found this by Googling) will recognise this quote, I’m sure:

“When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives”

And we’re often the same.

Not always, sure.

But often.

We get involved with a group of like minded people on the same journey (hola – what we do at RISE), then we’re all dragged along to some degree by that collective momentum.

We disengage and tell ourselves “I know what I need to do, I just need to do it”………….

Then we have mixed fortunes at best.

Ultimately, if ‘going Lone Wolf’ works for you, that’s awesome.

If you’re getting the results you’d like on a consistent basis by yourself, that is fantastic.

If not?

Maybe it’s time to join (or re-join if you’re a member but have gone a bit disengaged) the pack? –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting
