I bought a new laptop a few weeks ago.
The old one had been getting slower and slower over time.
Although, I must be honest, I didn’t realise how slow it had gotten until I used the new one.
Stuff that took several seconds to load on the old one opened instantly.
Videos process in a fraction of the time.
As I said, I knew the old one had slowed down but there was a part of me that thought that things taking an amount of time was unavoidable.
That maybe half the load time was normal.
Because the slow down was so gradual over time.
I’d forgotten what it could be like.
As can happen with our bodies.
We put down it slipping backwards over years as an unavoidable product of aging.
And, whilst there is an element of that, our choices are often causing even more than is necessary.
And we forget what our bodies could look and feel like.
Now, unfortunately, we can’t just replace our bodies with a new one like with a laptop.
But we can probably ‘speed it up’ more than we are telling ourselves.
And, like the financial investment of a new laptop will pay for itself many times over in saved time and increased productivity……..
