So, we’ve talked so far about setting realistic goals that we can definitely do, no matter what comes up.
Then overachieving on them where possible.
Of setting that appropriate level of accountability.
And of not ‘writing it off’ when it doesn’t quite happen as we’d like.
So, what do we do when it’s not ‘quite as we’d like’?
Simples.
What to do When Training Doesn’t Go as We’d Like?
The next best thing.
We can’t do the session we’d planned?
Again, you could do a home workout, a walk, some press ups, etc.
No brilliant options on the menu when we eat out or at the works function?
Pick the best there is.
In both quality and quantity.
Something is always better than nothing.
Sure we might like the idea of ‘everything’.
But that ‘something’ is fine. Especially when training doesn’t go as we’d like.
So, we set realistic personal training goals, make ourselves appropriately accountable, and do the next best thing rather than writing off when it doesn’t go according to plan.
Is there then any reason we can’t then “do what we said we would?”
How much simpler would life be………….
Much love,
Jon ‘NXT’ Hall and Matt ‘Next To Me’ Nicholson
