What would you say has been standing in the way of you achieving the results that you’d like?
I’m pretty confident that most people reply with some version of “motivation” or “willpower”.
Which are both approaches that are essentially looking to create different outputs from the same inputs.
To not change anything about the general situation but to then force ourselves to make different choices and do different things in the middle of that continuum.
And we can do that for a while.
But it’s hard work.
Forcing ourselves to do something that we don’t want to do at that point is draining.
So what’s the answer?
Change the inputs.
If we have cake, biscuits and alcohol constantly on display and tempting us……..
Then we’re much more likely to have them than if they’re just not there in the first place.
If the news and social media that’s going into our eyes and ears makes us feel a certain way about the world and our lives…….
Then that’s probably not going to change until we change what we’re watching, reading and listening to.
If we’re fuelling our body with empty calories and non-nutritious foods……….
Then we’re going to struggle to use our body in a better way more than if we were fuelling it with nourishing, energising foods.
If our chosen form of exercise is easier to make happen but arguably less effective……..
It’s more likely to happen and we’ll just, at worst, get slower progress.
Forcing different outputs from the same inputs is hard.
Garbage in – garbage out.
Change the inputs.
Change your environment.
Change what goes into your brain.
And different outputs are much more likely.
———- A massive part of the reason that people get amazing results with us where they’ve struggled before is the environment that we have. If you’re surrounded by people who are getting their Sessions in, making better food choices and achieving results, then you’re more likely to do the same! –> www.myrise.cou.k/apply ————
