I’m writing this blog on Monday, seconds after having awoken from a short snooze.

Feeling nice and refreshed I am.

Mondays and Tursday particular are fairly long days you see.

I was up at 5 today and will finish work a little after 9 tonight.

Up at 6.15am and in till 8pm tomorrow.

No probs as I love my job.

My Dad was a farmer till he retired in March and worked 6am to 6pm (plus) seven days a week, 51 weeks a year for 45 years.

He taught me the power of a snooze.

Mainly from an effectiveness perspectiveness.

Even a ten minute snooze can refresh you for the rest of the day and mean you get more out of it.

Rather than slogging your way through what’s left.

An “Investment In The Rest Of The Day” I call it.

It’s a big ‘Return On Investment’ too.

10 minutes snooze will make much more difference then 10 more minutes at night will.

It can help with your weight loss too.

Positive effect on your hormone balance.

Feeling refreshed causing you to make better food choices.

We’ve know plenty of people over the years add the snooze is as a missing ingredient and dropped weight from it 🙂

“It’s alright for you” I hear you call.

“I can’t pop home during the day”.

Don’t necessarily have to.

I’ve been known to have many a snooze down at RISE.

Quick lie down on the mats.

Resting my head on the desk.

And we regularly find Lukasz upstairs in the store room on an old bean bag 😉

A few years ago, when I first started living on my own, I was either up at 5.15 or had my then 1 and 3 year old kids over night.

While the 1 year old was waking between 5 and 20 times a night (that’s not a typo).

Regular snoozes in the car in the side of the road when the kids dropped of were the order of the day 🙂

We appreciate it isn’t always possible.

But it often is when people might not think so.

If you’re over-weight and often tired (about 3/4 of the population) then try a few tactical snoozes and we bet you’ll look and feel better very soon.

Much love,
